Baked Potato Soup


Baked Potato Soup is an extremely healthy and popular dish. Apart from being delicious, it is also a good choice, if you are trying to lose weight. It is also pretty easy to prepare it.


You just need to follow the below steps:

Step One: First you need to get some fresh potatoes. Then use a fork to pierce them and place them in your microwave. Wait for around 15 minutes, until they get tender. However, after around 7 or 8 minutes, remember to turn them once.

Step Two: Meanwhile, cook some bacon in a Dutch oven. After they get crisp, use a paper towel to drain them.

Step Three: In the same oven, blend some flour and milk. Cook for around fifteen minutes, until they get bubbly.

Step Four: Get back to the cooked potatoes and cut them in half. Peel off their skins and mash them properly.

Step Five: Add some milk, around one cup cheese and some onions to the mixture and cook until the cheese melts.

Step Six: Finally pour the soup into a few bowls. And then add some onion and cheese to each of the bowls.


4 large baking potatoes
4 slices bacon
6 cups milk
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
4 green onions, sliced
5 oz. (1 1/4 cups) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (8-oz.) container sour cream
